Due to Covid-19, there is uncertainty about our volunteer opportunities - Please feel free to apply and we will get back to you about the status of this and other opportunities. Thank you!

Brookside Gardens
hosts an incredible live butterfly exhibit each year in our Conservatory, July through September. North American, South American and Asian Butterfly species are featured in this dynamic exhibit and we are seeking volunteer Ticket Takers and Flight Attendants to help support our staff with running the show.

Ticket Takers are stationed just outside the exhibit and are responsible for greeting visitors and collecting tickets, introducing visitors to the exhibit rules, and coordinating exhibit entry.

Flight Attendants are stationed inside the exhibit and enforce the exhibit rules and show off exhibit highlights.

All volunteers need to sign up for an on-site training date before they can begin. Volunteers will need to complete an additional online tutorial before on-site training, and will receive the link after they sign up.

After succesfully completing the on-site training, volunteers will be able to access our online calendar to schedule their shifts.

Student volunteers ages 11-13 may volunteer, but only as a one-on-one team with a registered and trained parent, or adult guardian. The young student and parent must each sign up independently so we have information on both individuals. Thank you.
