ORGANIZATION: M.E.N.D. (Meet Each Need with Dignity)

As the Development & Fundraising AmeriCorps VISTA, you will help identify, cultivate and steward new funders to MEND’s mission, help support the acknowledgment process, assist with planning and development of special events, write, edit and package grant proposals, and ensure grant reporting requirements are met.

This position is a full-time position with a 1 year commitment. The position offers multiple benefits including: a modest living stipend of $697 biweekly, the choice between an end-of-service stipend of $1,800 or educational award of $6,095 that can be used towards higher education or loan payment, professional development, and health coverage to name a few.

Being an AmeriCorps VISTA member is about making a tangible difference for communities and individuals dealing with some of our Nation’s biggest challenges: poverty, inequity, homelessness, and lack of access to education. VISTA members help to build the capacity of organizations that are working to alleviate poverty all across the country. As a VISTA member you will serve in a project identified and managed by the community while earning a modest living allowance that reflects the income level of the community where you’re serving.
