Many cancer patients in Oscoda county need a ride to and from cancer treatment. Their transportation options are limited and you can help.
Health may be preventing some patients from driving themselves, no reliable vehicle, limited public transportation, or no family or friends locally to provide a ride. No matter where you live in Oscoda county your help is needed!
As a Road To Recovery Volunteer Driver you will be providing the life saving support men and women need along their cancer journey. As a volunteer driver you choose when to donate your time, how far you are willing to travel, and view length of appointment. You are always in control of your volunteer experience and never assigned rides.
Many Oscoda County patients request rides to West Branch and occasionally Tawas appointments.
Click 'I want to help' and learn how donating even 1 day a month will help save a life in Oscoda County.
Although COVID-19 has temporarily suspended our Road To Recovery program we welcome new volunteers to complete training. When we are able to safely resume services we anticipate an increase in ride requests. Your help will be needed more than ever before!
Cancer never quits and neither do we!!
