Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) is dedicated to moments such as these, because it is through these moments our athletes find strength, success, confidence, and joy. SOSC volunteers help make moments like these. The Major Donor Intern plays an integral role in advancing these efforts through fundraising initiatives that further our mission such as conducting donor research, identifying grant and major gift opportunities, and assisting the entire Development team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research new foundations/grants and individual prospects
  • Data mine for prospects within The Raiser’s Edge and Wealth Engine databases
  • Record research results in donor records
  • Assist in drafting briefs on donor prospects
  • Help maintain database records
