We do fill to capacity closer to the event, so please be sure to contact us ahead of the event date if you would like to attend. Sending a registration email does not guarantee you a spot until you hear back from the volunteer coordinator.
Come help Our City Forest's community nursery transplant 1,600 trees! All of the trees, once established, will be planted in the San Jose area. There is no experience necessary, just a willingness to help out and have fun!
**We need 50 volunteers for each time slot**
Dates and times include:
Thursday, February 28th @ 9am-12pm Friday, March 1st @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Saturday, March 2nd @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Wednesday, March 6th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Thursday, March 7th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Friday, March 8th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Saturday, March 9th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Wednesday, March 13th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Thursday, March 14th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Friday, March 15th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm
Saturday, March 16th @ 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm
Please let me know which dates you prefer and if you plan on bringing a group with the number of participants included. Family and friends are always welcome! I will send you a confirmation email once I receive your response. Feel free to share these dates with anyone else who might be interested in volunteering! If you have questions, please let me know and I will happily answer them!
If you are volunteering for this event please arrive 15 minutes before the start time. Bring water, snacks, and sun/rain protection! Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Closed toed shoes are required. This is a RAIN or SHINE event!

Our mission is to cultivate a green and healthy Silicon Valley by engaging community members in the appreciation, protection, growth and maintenance of our urban ecosystem, especially our urban forest.
Description
The ultimate goal of the program is to facilitate the planting of one million trees in Silicon Valley, utilizing one million people. We have planted over 70,000 trees in San Jose, encouraging community members to join us in improving the environmental conditions of their communities. We focus on making a healthy urban forest accessible to all by offering services targeted towards disadvantaged communities because we believe a healthy environment should be available to all people, not just those who have the resources to access it.
