ORGANIZATION: Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota

Support GESMN in building partnerships with employers, landlords, and community service providers while learning about reentry and the criminal justice system!

About You:

  • Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in community development, criminal justice, urban affairs, social services, or a related field.
  • Interest in refining your professional skills and expanding your knowledge of community outreach, nonprofits, the criminal justice system, job development, and housing for individuals with criminal records.

Internship Educational Outcomes:

  • Criminal Justice and ReEntry: will learn about criminal justice systems, both state and federal, as well as barriers and creative solutions to reentry.
  • Evidence-Based Practices: learn about evidence-based practices, such as criminogenic assessments and motivational interviewing, alongside GESMN staff.
  • Community Outreach: develop and refine skills in community outreach, stakeholder relationships, and data tracking.
