The Friends of the Kennedy Center volunteer program has a brand new position. The Welcome Pavilion at The REACH is looking for Visitor Information Specialists to greet and interact with all visitors, including Kennedy Center members and VIPs as well as the general public. This position will provide up-to-date information on many topics, from current and future performance and programming information for both The Kennedy Center and The REACH, to tour information and accessibility-related topics, to Education-related events at The REACH. Training will be provided, and regular shifts will begin in September 2019. Description

A person who, beyond regular paid employment and normal day-to-day responsibilties, chooses to contribute time and service as a member of the Kennedy Center personnel team to assist the Center in the accomplishment of its mission.Friends volunteer services operates every day of the year unless otherwise indicated. Daily shifts are from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.; 2 p.m. - 6 p.m.; 6 p.m .- 9 p. m. Areas include gift shops, tour guides, information desk, administration and education.
