Promote consent culture and help teens learn about healthy relationships while supporting youth empowerment and healthy self-esteem!
Potential ways to get involved:
- Co-facilitate presentations to youth in various settings including school, juvenile detention, and throughout the community.
- Develop educational curriculum and material.
- Graphic design, art, printing, pamphlet making.
- Help organize events related to consent culture.
- Table to spread awareness at info fairs.
Qualifications:
- Awareness of issues of domestic violence, homelessness, and diversity a plus
- 40-Hour Advocacy Training Recommended, but not necessary for all volunteer roles
- Must be 18 years or older
- Shifts available Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Commitment of 1 year, for some positions
Home Free: Our transitional and emergency services provide survivor centered support designed to prevent victims from having to return to abusive homes. We also support survivors by providing legal advocacy, advocacy in a health care setting, and at DHS.

Since 1896, Volunteers of America Oregon has worked to change lives by promoting self-determination and building strong communities. Today, through the dedication of over 300 staff members and more than 1000 volunteers, we help thousands of families in the greater Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas. We serve men, woman and children with a continuum of services, touching individuals from all walks of life, from the youngest to the oldest.
