Cabinet of Wonder Volunteers

Shift Days and Times

  • Mondays-Saturdays 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
  • Mondays-Fridays 1:00-3:00 PM

Volunteer Description and Responsibilities

  • Cabinet of Wonder Volunteers interact with guests viewing the Cabinet of Wonder installation by Mark Dion in the ONEOK Boathouse. Volunteers provide information, answer questions, facilitate activities and ensure guests are safely viewing and interacting with the Cabinet of Wonder. Volunteers must have interest and appreciation for contemporary art.
  • Volunteers report to Gathering Place staff when assistance is needed or if guests are not following park rules or Cabinet of Wonder guidelines.
  • With assistance from Gathering Place Staff, Volunteers set up an activity table in Activity Space 2 that will include interactive activities for guests to use while viewing the Cabinet of Wonder. Volunteers are responsible for helping set up and tear town activity supplies.

Training:

  • Volunteers must attend Cabinet of Wonder Volunteer Training
  • Must complete volunteer application, interview, background check and orientation.

Report To: Education Staff and/or other Gathering Place Staff
