The Winter Party Festival produced by the National LGBTQ Task Force is one of the world’s largest and best-loved celebrations for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community. The Festival has evolved into a week-long series of events, taking place on Miami Beach and benefiting the LGBTQ community both locally and nationally. Much of the gross proceeds from Winter Party Festival support the Task Force’s efforts to take action, build power and create change for LGBTQ people. A significant amount of the remaining proceeds are also donated to local service organizations through a grant-making process administered by the Miami Foundation.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with the Beach event that takes place on the sand of Lummus Park (12th street and Ocean Drive) in beautiful Miami Beach FL. Volunteers will be asked to do a variety of tasks including but not limited to: greeting guests, scanning tickets, directing people traffic, helping with supplies, coordinating with partner exhibits, and general "help" wherever needed.

We realize your time is valuable and we appreciate you donating your time for us! Snacks, Hydration, and meals may be provided while you are at the event. We are rewarding the volunteers of this shift with a FREE PASS to The Masterbeat Avalanche party taking place Sunday March 3rd at the James L Knight Center in Miami as well as free access to the Ignite party Thursday February 28th at Mr. Jones in Miami Beach!
The Winter Party Festival is 95% of volunteer produced and we can't do it without you! Come be a part of an amazing team for an amazing cause!

Mission Statement
The mission of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is to build the grassroots power of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
Description
We do this by training activists, equipping state and local organizations with the skills needed to organize broad-based campaigns to defeat anti-LGBT referenda and advance pro-LGBT legislation, and building the organizational capacity of our movement. Our Policy Institute, the movement’s premier think tank, provides research and policy analysis to support the struggle for complete equality and to counter right-wing lies. As part of a broader social justice movement, we work to create a nation that respects the diversity of human expression and identity and creates opportunity for all.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18
- We would like to have the volunteers be available for 8 hours on Sunday March 3rd. Hours from 12:30-8:30pm. We will provide a volunteer shirt and expect you to wear closed shoes and acceptable attire.
- We will hold a virtual orientation on Monday 2/25 at 7pm that is suggested for all volunteers to attend.
