Our Women and Children need nutritious meals every day of the week, and our Kitchen Manager needs a break on the weekend. We would love to have a cadre of Chefs come and 'own' the kitchen for one weekend day per month, so 8 chefs altogether. We have some wonderful church groups scheduled for some of those weekends, but others, you would be free to bring your entourage and your menus and commercially prepared food, or create your genius in the Women and Children's Center Commercial kitchen!
Each kitchen chef has his/her own strengths, and it is a treat to get to taste from the culinary bounty that is Tucson.

Description
Gospel Rescue Mission operates a homeless shelter for men and a shelter for women and women with children. In addition to providing emergency needs to the homeless population, both shelters operate long term residential recovery and education programs. These programs include: drug and alcohol recovery and relapse prevention; academic education; computer literacy; counseling; job readiness; and life skills training. We also provide food boxes, clothing,and household items to needy Tucson residents.
