Hospice Volunteer Coordinator NEEDED***

We are a local hospice company, seeking a full-time Volunteer Coordinator who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the volunteer program activities.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain volunteer training and orientation program sufficient to meet the volunteer needs of the patients and families.
2. Recruits, educates and selects volunteers.
3. Establish a need for volunteer services with the patient and family/caregiver and entire hospice team.
4. Supervises and evaluate volunteers.
5. Maintains monthly statistics.
6. Maintains volunteer personnel files.
7. Coordinate support/education meetings.
8. Attends interdisciplinary group meetings.

Position Qualifications:

1. BA/BS in human services preferred.
2. Minimum of two years experience in a healthcare/hospice setting as a volunteer coordinator preferred.
3. Ability to supervise, coordinate, and evaluate volunteer services.
4. Detail orientated and organizational skills a plus.
