Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support for terminally ill patients and their families. All volunteers receive specialized training and ongoing support and are an integral part of the hospice team of caregivers.
Help make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families!
We are looking for at least 2-3 volunteers willing to make phone calls to our patients and their families on Thursdays before the weekend on a weekly or monthly basis. Tuck-In calls made by volunteers to families and patients are to provide comfort and peace of mind over the weekend. Volunteers will call families and ask a series of questions to assess and record needs of the family prior to the weekend. This role will allow volunteers to work closely with the nurse case managers, patient care managers and volunteer coordinator.
Volunteers will be required to pass a background check, drug test and have a recent physical.
