Take Steps is the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation's largest fundraising event dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the 3 million American adults and children affected by Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis-that’s one out of every 100 people! Volunteers will assist with day of event roles in Set-up, Registration, Pacesetters Incentive Area, Kidz Zone Games, and Clean Up. Volunteers will receive a volunteer T-shirt on the day of and training for their assigned responsibilities.

Set-up: Assist with decorations, placing route signs, and may include lifting, carrying, unloading boxes.

Registration: Assist with checking in participants who have already registered, taking new registrations, and directing participants.

Pacesetters Incentive Area: Hand out walk t-shirts and incentives to eligible walkers.

Kidz Zone Games: Assist with the game area including temporary tattoos, crazy hair, cornhole toss, etc.

Clean up/Breakdown: Assist event staff with breaking down and cleaning up the event. May include lifting, carrying, and loading boxes; cleaning up food stations; picking up signs; etc.

Today, the organization has grown to 40 local chapters, with more than $200 million raised and invested in research for a cure. This funding has enabled many groundbreaking treatments, improved the quality of care for individuals with these conditions and brought hope to countless lives.
