What:Community Progress Network (CPN) Community Listening Session: Exploring low-income community needs in Arlington: roundtable conversations to break down the barriers.

When: Thursday, October 17th, 2019

Location: Wakefield High School, 1325 S Dinwiddie St, Arlington, VA 22206

Volunteer Needs: Child Care. Activities include setting up food (pizza), serving food, cleaning up after food. Supervising children. Playing with children. Must be 15 years of age or older. There will be a volunteer orientation session Monday evening, October 7th.

The Community Progress Network (CPN), a coalition of more than 30 nonprofit, government, education and community leaders is committed to improving the lives of those living in poverty by promoting equity and inclusion. CPN does this through community education, collective advocacy, and engagement to amplify the voice and increase the participation of low-income Arlingtonians.

The goal of the roundtable events is to create a platform through which participants feel valued and heard, provide insights and ideas for ways we all can address needs, design programs and make decisions that promote equity in our community.

Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) is a private, nonprofit housing organization founded in 1989 dedicated to providing affordable rental homes in Arlington. We also provide educational, employment, financial and recreational programs for the adults and children living in APAH properties, as well as emergency rental assistance.
