Due to Covid-19 many regular volunteers are unable to deliver meals. Yet there is an increasing need for delivered meals. Help seniors in your community by delivering a hot meal and smile with Lake Wales Meals on Wheels.
Delivering meals is more than providing nutrition. You are warm smile and maybe the only person the client will see all day long! You are a safety net in the fight against social isolation.
Precautions:
- Wear masks, use hand sanitizer
- Leave meal in cooler on recipient's doorstep - return to car and call recipient and ensure they pick up the meal.
You use your own automobile (insurance required) to deliver meals in Lake Wales area.
Thursdays 10:15 - Noon. Pick up meals from Lake Wales Medical Center, 410 - 11th St., Lake Wales 33853.

Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
