Alturi publishes meaningful stories that illuminate the struggles for LGBTQ equality around the world. Even in the most adverse social and cultural circumstances brave individuals stand up and demand respect for themselves and their communities. Our goal is to bring attention and funding to these courageous activists.
In this position, you will research, contact, interview, and produce a 500-800 word profile on the motivations, challenges, and successes of a lesbian community organizer in Brazil, a trans refugee in Kenya, or a gay politician in Poland.
This work is spiritually rewarding and highly educational.
Alturi supports and trains all volunteers.
