My name is Alan and I am the new Urban Farm Coordinator at Toledo GROWs. I am in search of strong and smart volunteers to help me out on our inner-city farm. It is a good opportunity to help an organization that strives to feed and teach people within the community. If you have farming experience, great! If not, that's OK too. We just want to provide a safe space for people to get in touch with nature and lend a helping hand. Here is the info:
When: Every Wednesday, March through October (November through February, call ahead to ask if help is needed that week)
Time: 9:00 a.m. until noon
Where: Toledo GROWs urban farm, 900 Oneida Street, Toledo, OH 43608
Bring or wear clothes you can get dirty, gloves, and drinks or snacks you may need. No matter your level of gardening experience, you can help in the garden beds, in the greenhouses, and all around the property growing and cultivating food!
