Program 241KCL-H
Date: Tuesday, March 26th
Time: 10:00 - 11:00 AM (please arrive at 9:45 AM for orientation)
Volunteer Role: Writing coach
About the program: Kindergartners read Stop That Yawn! by Caron Levis, the story of Gabby, who travels with her Granny to a place where beds are for bouncing, hushes are shushed, and it’s never too late for ice cream. Students considered aspects of a sound, such as a yawn, sneeze, or clap, that traveled around a block in their neighborhood. Coaches will guide groups in writing a sentence or paragraph that describes what was happening there at the time.
