We are looking for dedicated and community-oriented individuals to serve as AmeriCorps Members with our Mobile Summer Meals Program in Dallas!
AmeriCorps gets things done for America - building safer, stronger, healthier, and more united communities across the nation. Our summer service model is designed around getting meals directly to kids where they live. Days can be long, and hot, but rewarding.
Successful candidates should be:
- Hard working
- Self-motivated
- Personable
- Interested in making a difference in the Dallas community by alleviating hunger
What is AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps is a national community service program allowing individuals to give back to their community and get paid for it!
Requirements:
- Age 17 or older
- US citizen or permanent resident (deferred action does not suffice)
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to commit to 35-45 hours/week from May 30th - August 9th
Benefits:
- $3,000 Total Living Allowance, broken down into bi-weekly payments
- $1,612.43 Education Award, paid at end of term and can be used for existing student loans or future education expenses like tuition and books
- Experience in the service sector
- Summer of fun!

Description
We deliver federally funded meals free of charge to children at after-school and summer sites throughout the country. In Dallas, TX, we also provide nutritious food to families year round with our Mobile Food Access Network. Additionally, we engage and empower individuals to facilitate our programs through AmeriCorps.
