ORGANIZATION: New England Equine Rescue - North, Inc

NEER North is looking for energetic individuals to work side by side with our Events Committee to help enhance our visibility in the local community. The Event Planner will be responsible for assisting our Event Coordinator with the development of our outreach strategy and planning successful events that advance the recognition of our mission as an equine rescue. This individual will also be charged with facilitating new opportunities within the community to establish a stronger bond with our supporters and increase local awareness.


We are looking for a volunteer who is a self starter, with good organizational and people skills, is enthusiastic and motivated! Some event planning experience is required. Equine experience is not a necessity for this role but is preferred. Additional event volunteer roles are available requiring varying levels of commitment. Many do not require horse experience.

Mission Statement

NEER North rescues, rehabilitates, and finds approved adoptive homes for equines suffering from abuse, neglect, or at risk for slaughter. NEER North also provides assistance for horses and horse owners in need, along with networking to assist in helping assure horses do not become at risk. NEER North educates the public about responsible horse ownership whenever they can.

Description

NEER North is primarily a volunteer 501c organization dedicated to helping horses and horse owners in need.

NEER North houses up to 15 horses at a time, making sure every horse is evaluated, rehabilitated, and brought up to date on all medical needs before being adopted into appropriate homes.

NEER North relies on donations, fundraising, and public public support to accomplish their goal.

NEER North works primarily in Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire but will help any horse owner in need however thay can, funding allowing.
