Hello Community,
We are looking for dynamic professionals who would like to mentor college-level women. The program runs March 4th - May 22nd, Mondays and Wednesdays 1p - 5p. The goal of the program is to engage, educate and empower emerging female talent. It's an awesome opportunity for them to work in a professional environment on real-life projects. The career development program is free to all our participants.
We're looking for professionals who have a broad range and level of experience in product development, entertainment, advertising and media. In brief, students will be charged with developing brand, business and marketing strategies around real products (i.e. newly launched social platforms, film, tv and digital projects, civic & social initiatives, etc.). Below is a general outline of the process we will take participants through.
It would be awesome if mentors could commit to 12 weeks. And if you're only available one day a week, Mondays would be preferable. On Wednesday, February 27th between 1p - 3p we have our orientation. If available, this would be great to attend as well. Below are all the dates / topics.
Orientation: Wednesday 2/27, 1 pm - 3pm
Week 1: Monday 3/4 and Wednesday 3/6, 1 pm - 5pm
Topic: Marketing Research that end with a SWOT Analysis Projec t
Week 2: Monday 3/11 and Wednesday 3/13, 1 pm - 5pm
Topic: Taking SWOT and figure out how to write the Brief Project
Week 3: Monday 3/18 and Wednesday 3/20, 1 pm - 5pm
Topic: The Brief leads to the Big Idea Project
Week 4: Monday 3/25 and Wednesday 3/27, 1 pm - 5pm

Description
B~STEM Project’s primary focus is to provide young girls and women opportunities to gain in depth insight and understanding into the business of STEM disciplines across industries. We also offer an extension of holistic programming for both boys and girls that takes a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach to STEM instruction.
BSTEM allows students to engage, learn and grow on both an academic and personal level. Our programs offer exposure into a variety of industries from entertainment, advertising and fashion to robotics, agriculture and life sciences. We simulate real life scenarios with a curriculum that’s project driven. The knowledge and skills acquired are reinforced through practice, coaching and mentoring by industry specific professionals.
