Do you have a passion for feeding the hungry? We need your help at Community Connections of Atlanta (CCATL)
We need energetic volunteers to assist our kitchen ladies with meal preparation in Hunger Relief Agency. Multitasking in a fast paced kitchen is a must. Kitchen experience is a plus but not necessary. Lifting is required for oven food preparation. Our Mission is to prepare and serve meals weekly to families and individuals in our community who are in need of both physical and spiritual nourishment. We serve a diverse community and welcome everyone to join us for our meal, regardless of level of need.
NO Community Service Workers for this position
Wednesdays each week, choose from the following times:
- 2pm-4pm shift
- 4pm-6:15pm shift
- 2pm-6:15pm shift
Requirements:
- Multitasking
- Lifting oven pans
- Closed toed shoes
- Regular commitment required, not a temporary position

Mission Statement
Community Connections of Atlanta's mission is to bring hope and help to low income families and individuals and the homeless in our community. One way we do this is by providing fresh produce, meats, food boxes, warm meals and clothing opportunities weekly to hundreds of local residents from all walks of life. We have an extensive network of Volunteers and Community Partners providing resources and expertise to aid in meeting our clients’ basic needs, in order to help achieve stability and realize their potential while restoring hope for their future.
Description
(CCATL) Community Connections of Atlanta is a Faith Based non-profit corporation that has been serving the local community since 2012. We started as a small operation with hopes to lend a helping hand to our small close-knit low-income and homeless community. We have since grown into a thriving community support system that assists upwards of 220 families a week with boxes of food, warm meals and clothing. We work with Toys for Tots to provide gifts to our families at Christmas and work in unison with Truth Tabernacle of Praise to assist more than 200 families with back to school supplies and many other services. Our goal is to restore hope to low income families and the homeless by meeting their basic food support needs on a weekly basis.
