Program 2412RH-W

Date: Tuesday, March 12th
Time: 11:50 - 1:20 PM (please arrive at 11:40 AM for orientation)
Volunteer Role: Writing coach

About the program: Rachel Himes’ Princess and the Peas, a reimagining of the classic fairy tale set in an African-American community in the mid-1950s, inspired second-graders to create ideas for a fairy-tale they’d like to modernize. Based on each student’s completed graphic organizer, coaches will help groups shape their story outline into a narrative with details and dialogue.
