Global Camps Africa, a Reston-based nonprofit whose mission is the prevention of HIV in vulnerable South African youth, is seeking volunteer Host Committee Members for their annual gala, One Night for Sizanani, taking place on April 27, 2019 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC. Host Committee Members are responsible for the fundraising portion of the event, helping to secure sponsors, auction items and selling tickets and tables. Members are responsible for purchasing their own tickets as we make every effort possible to raise the most amount of funds for the mission. Secondary to the fundraising component, Host Committee Members also get to flex their event planning muscles and help make decisions about entertainment, logistics and other aspects of the event.

The Host Committee commitment is completely virtual. Committee conference call meetings are held bi-weekly for an hour in the evening. Members will be recognize for their contributions on our event invitation, program and other marketing materials.

The Global Camps Africa Host Committee is a group of passionate individuals in the DMV community, dedicated to equipping South Africa’s vulnerable youth with the tools to lead healthy, empowered lives and make positive impacts on their communities. We’d love for you to join us in this worthwhile work! If interested, please email gala@globalcampsafrica.orgwith your contact info and why you are interested in joining the Host Committee.
