Our work is important. And so are the people doing it. The people who work at A Dignified Home focus their diverse talents on our singular mission: to end the pain and the pointless trauma of homelessness. It is a calling. And the people who answer it are fulfilled. We value our volunteers around the globe that have stood with us through the years, and we will not rest until the fight is won. And that day is drawing nearer.

  • Works with Community Development Representatives on special projects focused on fundraising efforts, sponsorship efforts, and other projects that may arise

  • Works with local Community Development Representatives to develop committee enhancement tools for local events

  • Participates in outreach efforts to people in the surrounding communities to get them involved in community events and get them engaged in the fight against homelessness

  • Engages people of all ages to activities hosted by A Dignified Home

  • Participates in Mission Delivery activities in the local community to help raise awareness about the work of A Dignified Home in eradicating the pointless trauma of homelessness

  • Works with staff volunteers and local media to promote A Dignified Home events and programs
  • Provides administrative support to A Dignified Home staff volunteers, as well as local events, as needed-may require data entry

  • Works under direct supervision of Community Development Manager. Will require hours spent in the A Dignified Home office as well as independent work performed outside of the office environment

Position Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. One year related experience preferred.

  • Proven relationship building, persuasion and influence skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation, with extensive experience in effectively addressing and resolving issues with constituents.
  • Ability to proactively monitor and adjust activities to respond to changing circumstances and priorities to meet goals, proactively address issues as they arise and mitigates risks associated to events.
  • Outcome driven; strong project management ability.
  • Strong market, community and constituent perspective.
  • Remains composed under stress, handles responses to criticism tactfully and delivers on organizational commitments.
  • Broad knowledge of the overall structure, programs, and services of A Dignified Home including policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer-based information systems.
  • Ability to lift 30lbs and engage in set up/take down of event equipment.
