The Community Day of Service is an expo style event where individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless may access critical resources from over 100 providers, including legal support, DMV ID’s, and prescription glasses for free. Because of this one-stop-shop model, what often takes months to accomplish can be completed in one day!
More than 400 shifts make this day possible, with shifts available in the Morning (8:30am to 12:30PM), Afternoon (11:00AM to 3:30PM), and All-Day (8:30AM to 3:30PM). We guarantee your preferred shift time and will provide role appropriate training the day-of. Everyone will also receive a meal at the end of their shift, and a PHC Volunteer T-shirt.
Once registration closes on March 13th at 3pm, we will be able to assess our area needs and provide information on your activities, ensuring that your time will be spent as impactfully as possible. Common placements include getting to know participants one-on-one as you help them navigate the space as a Participant Escort; warmly checking-in volunteers or participants with orientation information; providing reading glasses. And that's just to name a few!
To sign up as an individual, please register on our website: https://phc.force.com/VOLC_Login
