The Family Housing Network has a Day Center where prescreened families can relax, search for jobs, do laundry, cook and shower. It is a wonderful space for our families! We are in need of volunteers to work 2-hour shifts (or longer) during the week. The volunteers may help with light housework and cleaning and/or possibly help with paperwork or organizing. Volunteers will also greet guests, answer phones and complete prescreens. Having volunteers in the Day Center will allow the staff to do more focused work such as meeting 1:1 with clients. Volunteering at the Day Center isn't always lively, so we recommend that volunteers bring something to keep themselves busy in case things are slow. The role of the volunteer is priceless! Come volunteer in our new space beginning late March 2020!

About Family Housing Network of Fort Collins

Mission Statement

FFH'S mission is to support families experiencing homelessness in order for them to achieve sustainable self-sufficiency in a timely and dignified manner. We provide a full range of emergency and stabilizing services needed by our guest parents and children, in collaboration with a diverse set of faith communities and partner agencies.

Beginning in 2011, Faith Family Hospitality began to address a pressing need for emergency shelter in Larimer County for families experiencing homelessness. Since January 2012, FFH has hosted 175 families - 26 adults and 395 children - over 2,400 nights in a row of shelter. In addition to FFH's early beginnings of emergency overnight shelter, the agency has grown to incorporate a Day Center, Case Management and construction has begun on Sherwood House, a bridge housing program. With the expansion, the agency has taken on a new name, Family Housing Network. FHN encompasses all four programs and Faith Family Hospitality remains the name of the overnight shelter portion of the program. With the help of the FHN program, 86% of parents find employment and 68% of our families find housing!
