Girls Inc.

Volunteer for Power of the Purse 2019, Girls Inc. PNW's largest event of the year! Support from our community is more important than ever as we strive to reach more girls, helping them see their potential, honor their resiliency, and acquire tools to be confident and economically independent adults.

We're looking for volunteers to help out in a variety of capacities--general set up, raffle ticket sales, coat check, and in many other ways! Contact Allie at allie@girlsincpnw.org or 503-230-0054 x 109 for more information or to sign up.

We hope to see you there!

Mission Statement

Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest inspires all girls to be strong, smart, bold. Our vision is empowered girls and an equitable society.

Description

Girls Inc. of the Pacific Northwest inspires all girls to be Strong, Smart & Bold through empowering the whole girl. We address the unique challenges girls face and prompt girls to focus on their real interests, at their own pace, free from distractions and comparisons. There are six essential elements to the Girls Inc. Experience that are grounded in our belief of girls' rights and abilities and make up the foundation of our approach to delivering high quality and impactful programming.

Our primary outlet for program implementation is our after school Girls Groups. Each group is made up of 12-15 girls from no more than two consecutive grades. Groups meet weekly with professionally trained Girls Inc. facilitators for 90 minutes over three eight-week terms. Each term Girls Groups cover the age-appropriate module of one of our researched, proven curricula.
