Camp Blue Skies (www.campblueskies.org) is in need of male and female counselors for their camps at Camp Twin Lakes Rutledge March 11-15 and 18-22, 2019.

  • The paid position is for people who have professional experience working with adults who have disabilities.
  • There are also unpaid counselor positions open for both weeks.
Housing and meals will be provided for the whole week, and volunteer orientation takes place at 4PM both Sundays before camp (March 10 and 17). Counselors are expected to attend the whole week, but we are also in need of day volunteers for both weeks.

We provide year-round camp experiences for children with serious illnesses, disabilities and other life challenges to help them grow in their condidence and capabilities.

Description

For over 25 years, Camp Twin Lakes has provided life-changing camp experiences to thousands of Georgia's children with serious illnesses, disabilities, and other life challenges. Camp Twin Lakes provides week-long summer camps and year-round weekend retreats at three fully-accessible and medically-supportive campsites, daycamps, and through hospital-based Camp-To-Go programs. Camp Twin Lakes collaborates with nearly 60 different nonprofit organizations, each serving a different population, to create customized programs that teach campers to overcome obstacles and grow in their confidence and capabilities. Annually, Camp Twin Lakes serves more than 9,100 campers, leverages support from 3,500 volunteers, and subsidizes 70% of the direct camp costs for every camper served.
