No tennis experience is needed.
Opportunities:
We provide free tennis lessons and rackets to under-resourced communities. Our signature program, Family Tennis Days, is a weekend program at Truxtun Park that targets under-resourced youth and families in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Volunteers assist lead instructors in teaching the lifetime sport of tennis. The program includes an educational piece that promotes a healthy lifestyle and values learned through sport.
Other programs work with specific groups such as HACA (Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis), Marshall Hope Learning which works with the Hispanic/Latino/immigrant families, Special Olympics, and we various county health fairs with an interactive "booth."
Locations: Annapolis, Brooklyn Park, County Parks
