OACC is looking for long-term volunteers who can help support Community Engagement efforts such as First Wednesdays at Madison Park, one of its longstanding community programs organized in collaboration with Asian Health Services and Lincoln Summer Nights in collaboration with Chinatown Improvement Initiative in 2019.
Position Title: OACC Event Representative - First Wednesdays at Madison Park and Lincoln Summer Nights
Direct Supervisor: Saly Lee (Associate Executive Director) and on-site supervisor (Community Engagement Intern)
Volunteer Responsibilities: - Bring OACC materials to event locations - Help setup/breakdown OACC table(s) - Supervise activities at OACC table(s) - Actively promote OACC programs to event participants (ex: distributing flyers, soliciting mailing list signups) - Return OACC materials to OACC
Volunteer Requirements: - Be at least 18 years or older - Able to take initiative and work without direct supervision. - Be available from 11:30am-3:30pm on the first Wednesday of the month AND/OR 5-9pm on the first Friday of the month (June through October)

Preferred Abilities (not required): - Bilingual in English and Cantonese - Familiarity and/or interest in interacting with young children - Familiarity and/or interest in interacting with older residents who may not speak English Starting Date: Immediately
