Volunteer at schools in your local community that participate with JA, with a schedule that fits your personal and work schedule.
- Meet with a group of students in the classroom during the regular school day (8am to 3pm) in either or both of the Fall or Spring semesters. There are many options for your time in the classroom, including the traditional JA Program which is approximately 5 sessions (30-45 minutes long) which can be done once a week or when you schedule the visits with the teacher, a JA in a Day Program which is taught on one day for 3 - 3 ½ hours.
- JA makes it very easy to volunteer with prepared step-by-step activities and all of the classroom materials together in a program kit, so that you feel comfortable prior to stepping into the classroom. JA will provide you with training and review your program materials so that you are ready to hit the classroom running!

Mission Statement
JA of Chicago's volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students in our community to dream big and reach their potential.
Description
Junior Achievement empowers students to succeed in the future by providing free educational programs from Kindergarten through 12th Grade. JA's innovative and experiential programs are based on work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy and align directly with educational curriculum standards. JA brings volunteers from the business and community into the classroom to bring these relevant and fun economics of life lessons to the students. It is that link to the "real world" in the classroom that brings volunteers, students and educators together for success! In DuPage County this year, we are on target to empower over 4,000 classes and more than 85,000 students. We've been able to continually expand our program every year thanks largely in part to our loyal JA partners and volunteers.
