Hillsboro Farmers' Markets grows community connections and promotes economic growth by providing healthy local produce and products. You can help kids engage with local farmers and get to know where their food comes from as a Market Sprouts Volunteer! Weekly activities will be provided free of charge for all kids attending the market.

Market Sprouts Volunteer support duties include interacting with children between 3 and 12 years old and their families, running fun, educational activities, tracking children participation, and more! As a Market Sprouts Volunteer you will gain experience working with youth and families, gain leadership skills, and provide food and health education.

As a volunteer with the Market Sprouts program, you can help youth learn more about the impact that the Hillsboro Farmers' Markets make on individuals, families, and communities. You can connect with your local growers and producers to make new friends, learn more about local produce support.

Before your shifts are scheduled, you will be able to select the market day that is the best fit for you and receive more specific instructions. Please wear comfortable, weather- and family-appropriate clothing, and closed-toe shoes.

The Hillsboro Farmers' Markets run from April to October, and volunteer help for the Market Sprouts program is needed on Saturday or Sunday AM/PM. Come join the fun and help kids and families learn more about how their food is grown!
