Use your voice to amplify our message
As a ShelterBox Canada Advocate you support ShelterBox by sharing our recent news and updates from the field. Advocates are very important for getting our message across multiple platforms so that we can reach the most people from coast-to-coast. We are looking for people who have an enthusiasm for spreading the word about ShelterBox and can create their own content to engage with their networks.
Commitment
- Follow ShelterBox Canada on our social media platforms and invite your network to do the same
- Share our social media posts on your own channels
- Create your own ShelterBox posts and creative content to engage your networks on your personal social media profiles
- Sign-up for ShelterBox Canada newsletters and forward these emails on
- Engage with 1 new person a month to talk to them about ShelterBox Canada and engage them with our social media and newsletter
- Activate in times of disaster - when major disasters strike, families need our help more than ever. During this time we need the support of our volunteers to share important updates about our current response. We need your support to share these urgent updates with your network and help us to raise funds and awareness while the disaster is in the media spotlight

An international disaster relief charity that rapidly provides emergency shelter and vital aid to stabilize, protect and support communities overwhelmed by disaster and humanitarian crisis.
Description
ShelterBox responds to disasters around the world, providing the emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies families need to survive in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. A typical ShelterBox contains a family tent, blankets, water purification, cooking utensils, a stove, a tool kit, a children's activity pack and other vital items. Highly trained ShelterBox Response Team volunteers deliver aid, working with other international organizations and local partners.
