Volunteer positions (estimated work hours):
We will need volunteers to help set up, manage, and tear down the event. The positions we are needing, along with the estimated shift hours are listed here:
- SETUP: (5:30AM-9:30AM)
- CHECK IN:(6:30AM-10AM)
- T-SHIRTS:(6:30AM-10AM)
- WATER STATION: (7:30AM-10:30AM)
- KIDS GAMES MANAGEMENT: (7:30AM-12PM)
- PHOTOGRAPHY ASSISTANT:(7:30AM-12PM)
- FACE PAINTING: (7:30AM-12PM)
- BREAKDOWN:(11:00AM-1PM)
- FLOATERS:(7:30AM-12PM)

Description
The Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County works to improve the quality of life for those with seizure disorders. Our free services include individual and family counseling; career development; information and referral; individual advocacy; a parent network; adult and parent support groups; in-service educational seminars; a speakers bureau; classroom presentations; scholarships; and summer camp for children with epilepsy.
MISSIONThe Epilepsy Foundation of San Diego County will ensure that people with seizures are able to participate in all life experiences; and will prevent, control and cure epilepsy through services, education, advocacy and research.
GOALSImprove self-esteem and social skills of children and adults with epilepsy.
Increase individual and public understanding about the potential and needs of those with epilepsy regarding education, employment, recreation, and housing.
Promote equal opportunity in employment and full participation in life.
Increase awareness of the legal rights of persons with epilepsy.
Promote prevention and early recognition of epilepsy.
An informed community in which people with epilepsy and seizure disorders enjoy respect, dignity, and the opportunity to achieve full potential free from stigma and bias.
