By becoming a board member, you will be involved in the governing body of children at Montessori school. We need interested people who are enthusiastic about maintaining the high level of education for our children and planning the future of our school. Board members create policy and make decisions related to all aspects of the school. Board members are elected for three-year terms. Meetings are held monthly. You can choose to work on committees that meet your particular interests or skills (personnel, finance, public affairs, physical plant, long range planning, etc.)

The Montessori School of Champaign Urbana (MSCU) is committed to providing a comprehensive Montessori education with a highly trained staff that guides students toward becoming confident, creative, empathic, culturally aware, and responsible children who are nurtured toward having a lifelong love of learning. Description
The Montessori School of Champaign-Urbana (MSCU) is a non-profit organization, founded in 1962, which uses the child-focused and child-led educational philosophy developed by Dr. Maria Montessori. MSCU offers a variety of different programs for families including, Toddler (starting Fall 2018), Preschool, Kindergarten, and Elementary (grades 1-6). We have a diverse student body with representation from over fifty countries. MSCU is committed to providing a comprehensive Montessori education with a highly trained staff that guides students toward becoming confident, creative, empathetic, culturally aware, and responsible children who are nurtured toward having a lifelong love of learning.
