PAX - Program of Academic Exchange is a not-for-profit organization that promotes cultural understanding by bringing high school exchange students to the U.S. for an academic year or semester to live with a real American family and attend high school in their community. Through this experience, a family learns about another culture while sharing ours with a teenager from overseas. Opening Doors, Embracing Cultures, Becoming Family!

Over the past 25 years, PAX has placed nearly 20,000 students with host families and the vast majority of those families have told us that it was an amazing experience, full of heartfelt moments and new discoveries. Many have confessed that the most difficult part of the PAX experience was saying "goodbye" at the end of the year to their new "son" or "daughter". For more information on PAX, we invite you to visit www.pax.org.
