Flotilla Meetings in Downey for Training

We support the Coast Guard active duty by conducting Marine Observation Patrols on local waterways, Search and Rescue, Boating Safety Classes, free Vessel Safety Checks for the public, providing Boating Safety Information to dealers, as well as many other activities related to Recreational Boating Safety.
Flotilla 5-10 meets in Downey the 4th Wednesday of every month at 7:30PM.
The US Coast Guard Auxiliary Division 5 has meetings throughout the south bay including Long Beach, Belmont Shore, Downey, San Pedro, and Huntington Beach.
The overarching mission of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is to contribute to the safety and security of our citizens, ports, waterways and coastal regions.
WE ARE: 30 thousand members serving our nation and our communities in 1,000 local units
WE CONTRIBUTE: Over 2 million hours per year in the classroom, at the ramp & pier, and operating 2,250 vessels, 180 aircraft, and 1,700 radio facilities on our nation's waterways.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary ( USCG Aux) is the uniformed auxiliary service of the United States Coast Guard ( USCG). Congress established the USCG Aux on June 23, 1939, as the United States Coast Guard Reserve. On February 19, 1941, it was re-designated the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
