The 'Connect' program is a Utah Art Alliance created artists resource program that was developed to bring community artists together in a collaborative, resource sharing and productive environment.

Connect is an artist focused event that is put on once a month. Artists are invited to bring their art to the DRAW Inc Gallery where each artist is then registered to show their piece of work for the evening. Each piece of art submitted for the evening is given a number and the attendees of the event and artists are asked to cast a ballot vote of their top favorites. The winning artists are then automatically entered into a end of year gala Super Connect event where they will have the opportunity to win artists scholarships - They are also asked to hang their winning art piece in the gallery for a month until the next connect event.
Every month during this event we also have a speaker scheduled to discuss valid opportunities for artists and give real applicable advice to the artists in attendance at the event.

We are seeking a volunteer that is looking for a meaningful way to impact the local arts community by helping us to put on, set up and plan this monthly event.

Responsibilities:
Help set up Connect - several of us will be working on setting up tables, put out snacks and any misc things that need to be done to prepare for the event.
Take photos of the event and participants. This will need to be uploaded to social media before leaving the gallery (we want the artists and community to be able to keep memories from their experiences at Connect)

participate in a monthly Connect Committee Meeting either virtually or in person.



The estimated time commitment per month is 6 hours for 7 months.

-Connect committee meeting, once per month (up to 2 hours), you may attend this in person or via video chat.
-Connect Event, the 4th Friday of every month (5:30PM-9PM), must be attended in person
