Character Buddies [Park Character (Mascot) Handlers]

Dates/Times: Various

Character Buddies help guide and assist Gathering Place Characters at various program and events. Character Buddies must adhere and maintain mascot integrity at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Walk with characters around the park and at various programs and events
• Assist with crowd control, spacial awareness and ensuring characters stay safe at all times
• Help guide the characters as they walk and move within various spaces
• Assist with wardrobe

Training Requirements:

• Must complete volunteer application, interview, background check and orientation.
• Attends Character Buddy Handler Volunteer Training led by Gathering Place Staff
