Volunteers who work at the reception desk are the first volunteer our clients see. They answer the door bell and welcome and check clients in. They make sure clients have any forms they need to fill out, such as the electronic client card or a food list. They would assign volunteers to clients who are ready to be seen by availability. This volunteer would also hand out sandwiches and snack bags at the door and direct walk-ins to make an appointment through the assistance line. They would also take clients to the rest room and help take groceries out to clients’ cars, if needed.
