Join us the second Saturday of every month to help the environment, meet like-minded people, be active, and explore. Independence Lake Park is home to a native Michigan Prairie. By volunteering to remove invasive shrubs, you will help us preserve this rare ecosystem. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for hiking and working off-trail. Description
Washtenaw County's 27 cities, villages and townships are home to about 325,000 citizens in urban, suburban, and rural settings. This mix of different settings provides many opportunities for education, recreation, business, agricultural, and home life. The two largest cities are Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, homes to two large universities - the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.
