Womankind, Rising Above Violence

Create a nurturing environment for children while their parent attends support groups at Womankind. Become a source of support and stability for young children who are often lost in the upheaval caused by trauma and need positive attention.

Womankind works with survivors of gender-based violence to rise above trauma and build a path to healing. We bring critical resources and deep cultural competency to help Asian communities find refuge, recovery and renewal from domestic violence, human trafficking, and sexual violence.

Location: Varies. Womankind has locations in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn.
Time: Most childcare needs take place Mondays - Saturdays, between 10am - 6pm hours.

Previous experience interacting with children preferred. Orientation and supervision provided.
Volunteer must be at least 18 years of age.
