ReadyKids offers eight different programs for children and families. Our Inside Out program provides counseling to help kids and families who have experienced trauma begin the healing process.
Most kids arrive at counseling appointments directly after school and are hungry. They do much better in therapy sessions with a healthy snack in their bellies. That's where YOU come in!
We're looking for a few generous volunteers to lead a healthy snack drive in their community. Examples of snacks include Goldfish, Cheese-Its, Pirate Booty, Pretzels, Raisins, Granola Bars, Nutrigrain Bars, Applesauce, Veggie Sticks, Wheat Crackers, Ritz Bitz Cheese Crackers or Graham crackers. (Please no nut products, due to allergies.) Preferably, snacks would be individually packaged for ease of distribution.

ReadyKids works toward the vision that each child in our community is ready to learn, ready for relationships, and ultimately ready for life! Since 1921, we have provided critical support to children and families in Charlottesville and the five surrounding counties. We support, teach, counsel and coach to help kids build life-long skills and give them the chance to reach their full potential. In Fiscal Year 2022, our programs impacted the lives of over 6,800 children, families and early learning educators in our community.
What does it mean to be Learning and Relationship Ready? Learning Ready Kids have quality early learning experiences that prepare them for school and for life. Relationship Ready Kids experience nurturing, healthy and developmentally-appropriate family relationships.
ReadyKids is a private nonprofit organization funded through a combination of private contributions, federal, state, and local government support, and private foundations.
