HOMEOWNERSHIP CENTER NORTHWEST

We are entering a new chapter at our non-profit. We need a person that can continue research and development to seek new fundraising opportunities. We have had to pivot to adjust to virtual communications, training and classes We need support to make the necessary changes for our organization to manage in these challenging times. This will become a paid position.

We are looking to eventually hire a dedicated Grant Writer to write grant proposals for our nonprofit, twenty-six-year-old organization. The Grant Writer will write coherent, organized and compelling proposals. You will apply your knowledge of fundraising methods and plans to reach income goals. You will collaborate with team members in the organization to assist with other fundraising projects and develop relationships with key stakeholders.

To ensure success you need to write well, have proficient knowledge of fundraising methods and be committed to the mission you are representing. Preferred volunteer applicants are deadline-driven team players with outstanding multitasking abilities. We hope to generate funding for this to be a full time paid position with benefits.

Can you help?

Thank you for your consideration.

Mission Statement

The Homeownership Center of Tacoma Northwest (HCHW) is a 28+-year-old, community-based nonprofit corporation whose mission is to foster neighborhood revitalization through homeownership, provide free ongoing financial counseling and offer supportive resources to our community. HCT builds quality new homes, refurbishes existing homes, and makes homeownership affordable by providing a no-interest, no-payment second mortgage that ensures monthly payments are tailored to the household’s income instead of the purchase price of the home. HCT offers this unique financing program throughout the Pacific Northwest for homes that we have constructed or refurbished, to modest-income home buyers that have not owned a home during the past three years. We also offer free homebuyer, education classes. We have successfully matched over 200+ homes with individuals and families. We are just beginning. Join Us!

Description
