Kids 4 Critters is a volunteer organization working in partnership with the Wake County Animal Center (WCAC). We teach responsible pet ownership and respect for animals to fourth graders in Wake County in a six-week class. We receive our funding through grants. Our biggest expense has been materials for students, mainly printing costs. We are looking for person(s) with graphic design experience who would be willing to work with us and volunteer their talents and services to prepare educational materials to be used in the program at schools and online. If you are willing to help us, and would like to learn more, please contact us through our website: https://www.kids 4crittersnc. com or email us at kids4critters.online@gmail.com Thank you for your interest in helping educate children about responsible pet ownership and having respect for animals!

About Kids 4 Critters

Mission Statement
We believe that kids "R" the key to improving the situation of many animals in our community. When children learn to REFLECT upon the condition of animals, to RESPOND to their needs, and to RESPECT animals, they will see the great REWARDS of pet ownership.
Description
We are volunteers promoting responsible pet ownership by teaching a 6-week class (one day a week) to 4th graders. Our lessons align nicely with the Wake County Public School System’s science and social studies curriculum. We involve students actively in each lesson and are developing future leaders to teach others! We believe the problems of pet overpopulation in Wake County must be resolved by all of us working together. For that reason, we are working closely with the Wake County Animal Center (WCAC) to increase adoptions from the center, to promote spay/neuter programs, and endorse microchipping and registration of adopted animals.
