GOV is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to strengthen its ability to serve the community.
About Gay Ottawa Volleyball (GOV):
GOV is an all-volunteer, non-profit sport organization providing volleyball programming to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, two-spirited (LGBTQ2+) and LGBTQ2+ friendly of Ottawa and the National Capital Region.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and direction to other volunteers;
- Working with leaders on the organization to identify, recruit and onboard volunteers to fill key positions and support the delivery of volleyball programming, tournaments, events and other activities;
- Managing a database of volunteers in support of the identification, recruitment, engagement, development and recognition of volunteers.
Estimated time commitment: 5-10 hours per week
