Are you passionate about farmed animals and the value of volunteerism in our communities? Then join our team as a Volunteer Coordination Intern! Our volunteers are the keystone of our success as an organization, and their continued support and gifts of time and talents help us maintain the highest standards in every area of the Sanctuary. As a Volunteer Coordination Intern, you will collaborate with our team on all aspects of volunteer coordination, and gain valuable hands-on experience in managing, growing and connecting with a service-minded community.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with recruitment, retention, and recognition efforts
• Shadow and co-lead volunteer orientations and other program trainings
• Assist with volunteer program tracking and data interpretation and reporting
• Collaborate on program & opportunity marketing (Mailchimp campaigns, flyers, etc)
• Provide support at volunteer potlucks and/or meetings as needed

Qualifications:

• Passion for volunteerism and an understanding of its importance
• Interest in and understanding of Luvin Arms and its mission
• Familiarity with standard office technology (Google Drive, Chrome)
• Ability to collaborate with others, as well as self-motivate and work independently
• Leadership qualities and comfort working with and supporting people from all backgrounds and walks of life

Specifications:

• Volunteer commitment of 20-40 hours per week
• Must be able to spend at least 10 hours per week onsite at the Sanctuary in Erie, CO
• Weekends required, holidays or evening hours may also be required
• Two month minimum commitment required
