Do you enjoy working with youth? Have experience or a related degree? Are you considering a career in teaching or education? Then this position is perfect for you! The Student Teacher Intern is an integral part of our Classroom Support Team (CST) program. The CST is a classroom redesign model where we support a grade level of teachers with a team of volunteers/interns. The team consists of a student teacher, teaching assistant, parent engagement specialist and tech integration specialist who all work collaboratively with a team of teachers to create classroom impact strategies and interventions that are data-driven, student focused and real-time. The Teacher Assistant Intern role in the team is to work with students one-on-one and in group settings. Mission Statement

At Million Dollar Teacher Project, we support students by supporting teachers. Our mission is to elevate the teaching profession through increased recognition, compensation, and support.

Description

Increased Teacher Compensation:

We are creating programming and solutions to radically increase teacher compensation in sustainable ways that are not connected to state funding, property taxes or tax credits. We want to develop new revenue generating methods to inject new revenue streams in to the education system.

Increase Teacher Recognition

We are creating programming to bridge the relationship between the community and schools to show teachers they are appreciated and valued.. We conduct events like our Take a Teacher to Lunch program and our #Teacherthankyounotes social media campaign.

Increased Support For Teachers

We actively create solutions to increase the teachers ability to positively impact students in their classrooms. One of those strategies is our Classroom Support Team Program or CST. Through the CST we surround the teacher with a team to increase their opportunities for differentiated and diversified instruction in the classroom.
